Jean Fletcher (Dovercourt)

Jean Fletcher, born in 1927, remembers the beaches of Dovercourt and Harwich and growing up and living in the area with walks to Earlhams beach, wartime memories and dances in the Cliff Pavilion and Alexandra Hotel.

Eric Delaney and his band were one of her favourite performers who visited Dovercourt.

I’m glad I’m this age now, because I saw the best of Dovercourt and Harwich!
