Why is Frinton Special? Try our walk and decide for yourself! Download our new heritage trail from the pdf link below…

Frinton’s uniqueness was promoted to ensure that house owners and visitors could expect quietude with no amusement attractions, kiss-me-quick hats or beach paraphernalia could be bought along the Front.

The Frinton & Walton Heritage Trust has partnered with Resorting to the Coast to produce a new town trail highlighting the cultural quirkiness of this original holiday resort.

Frinton has attracted many stars of stage and screen to holiday here, as well as many politicians, close enough to London for easy access by rail or road, but far enough away to be different and private.  An unwritten rule was the media avoided writing about or photographing the famous, The Royals and London Society who flocked to Frinton for the golf and tennis seasons throughout the summer.

Essex Coastal Path

If you have been walking the Essex Coastal Path, either from Walton-on-the Naze, or from Clacton-on-Sea and Holland-on-Sea, why not take the opportunity to join this Frinton walk which is circular back to Frinton Battery Point via the main shopping street, Connaught Avenue, where ice creams and refreshments can be readily purchased, and Frinton Railway Station or else via the unique, modernist Frinton Park Estate (built 1934 to 1936).

Our walk has been launched! We had a wonderful day with the public and Cllr David Finch, Leader of Essex County Council cut the ribbon for the new heritage trail sign:
